I am going to have to admit here, that I never thought that I would wander into the world of children and babies after my early experiences in Second Life. I have had a bit of everything when I used to be into family roleplay really heavy, from children who played at toodles occasionally, to having a TRIPLET set of Zoobies, but after having some sad or difficult experiences in the past, I felt that I had no desire to do it again.
Obviously however, with meeting my current Husband and Owner, those feelings began to melt away and the yearning to experience having a family with him stirred up into my bones. I must say that thou having Zoobies certainly isn't for everyone, its not bad. With it being a bit pricey, and needing a lot of "addons" in order to have a good time with them, including diapers, food, clothing, and "leveling" them up, it can seem like a lot of money being poured into a mesh for nothing. Also engaging with them in family situations, like mine in the past, can become sad and difficult, with the zooby ending up being nothing but sad/bad/negative experience for both people who were involved.
But like most things virtual, its not really about an investment in the monetary or physical sort. It's certainly a enrichment or observation for the soul, or for fond memories, as most things in Second Life are for many people.
I've had to eat my words to all my friends about saying I would never do it again. That's okay thou, I'm having a wonderful experience, and I see how people can bond with zoobies. I adore our daughter Ginger so very much and she has complimented our lives very much.
Anyway, since I never have tried, I attempted some pictures with my daughter Ginger Indigo Canon and wanted to show you guys some super cute sets from a creator called Lazy Panda who does clothing for zoobies. She created a series of clothing named "AiTeo" named after me and my Husband, that has newborn and baby meshes based on our family. I hope you check it out and enjoy the credits! ♥
