Fashion Blabbage #007 - Ranting and Dispelling Rumors
ughhhh, I’m super lazy this weekend honestly. However, the beginning of a term is upon us and that means work is gonna start piling up for me here as well as a lot of neat stuff is gonna be released because its DECEMBER!
I’m pretty excited about it! So I’m gonna cover a few pieces that I really loved for this post before the December posts and also do some myth/rumor-busting regarding the websites I spoke of a bit ago called Social VR and Pixel VR.
I’m also gonna kinda rant about my system issues I’ve been encountering.
Well firstly I’m not really entirely lazy! lol. I’ve been having a few driver issues...which seems to happen to me and my system around this time of year... every year for some reason! It’s been causing me some frustration and I haven’t quite figured out if I’m going to contact some support to fix it; but I have been doing some troubleshooting and I think its not my hardware, its a software issue and I have to wait for the next update.
Color in particular is the issue with my system right now. Darkness looks “filmy” if that makes sense. The saturation of color in darkness and light is off. Also some aspects are affected and not showing up on browsers -- whites look too white and seem to be glowing. However, my hardware is showing up a-ok, so I am wondering if its just the last graphics update I did with my system.
In the meantime, please bear with me while I try to work with what I have! Some things may seem a bit too light, or maybe even a bit too dark because my graphics are off on my side. I’m sorry ahead of time! :c
I was a beta tester for this website before it opened for about the past year, helping bug test the site before it was opened to the public. Rumors have been spreading that the site requires you to pay in order to join or it will be limited, similar to flickr.
This rumor is incorrect! The website is free to join and the site gives you all the features overall free of charge! The payment methods are used exclusively and mostly for creators and advertisers -- so they can boost their posts and products, use the marketplace that is being developed and many other things such as rotating and advertising their stores and products... and is also very very optional!
Paying for the site is also optimal to others who may not advertise or create or have stores... but want to support a website that caters to something that supports our virtual world expression, which I think is wonderful and needs to be done more in our virtual world community.
So let me once again encourage users of Secondlife, IMVU, and other virtual worlds to join and support this wonderful website created specifically just for us and for absolutely free. ♥♥♥♥
